Sloth (mental state) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Sloth (mental state)
Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work. It is one of the seven deadly sins (Catechism) and one of the five hindrances (Buddhism). Medieval theologian Thomas Aquinas wrote that sloth is "sluggishness of the mind which neglects to begin good... () is evil in its effect, if it so oppresses man as to draw him away entirely from good deeds."
